Totality at 1:40 p.m. Thick clouds until 1:38 p.m. The thick layer of clouds parted just in time for us to get a clear view of the eclipse from the roof of the garage of Dallas Voice Tower in the Design District in Dallas.
Total darkness lasted four minutes and then dawn gave way to bright sunshine within 10 minutes.
