City Hall’s Pride flag was last seen in June 2017. In above mug shot, five people including City Councilman Adam Medrano unfurled the flag on June 1 that hung in the lobby for the month. (David Taffet/Dallas Voice)

UPDATE:

Dallas Voice just received a call from Councilman Adam Medrano. Flag found and Pam Gerber is a crackpot.

According to Medrano, at the end of Pride Month last year, he took the flag and his assistant Monica Moreno put it away. Moreno has been on maternity leave and Medrano didn’t know where she put it. When she was in the office recently, however, he asked her, she showed him where it was and he has it. The confusion arose several weeks ago when Medrano mentioned to Gerber that he didn’t know where the flag was.

APB: City’s Pride flag is missing

On Friday, June 1, the city of Dallas is scheduled to unfurl its Pride flag to hang in the lobby of Dallas City Hall for the month of June. However, no one knows where the flag is.

Last year, the flag hung from the second floor balcony facing the main entrance throughout the month. No one at city hall is sure who took the flag down or where they put it.

Above is a photo of the Pride flag. If anyone recognizes it or has information as to its whereabouts, please contact the office of Councilman Adam Medrano, who chairs the Mayor’s LGBT Task Force and coordinates Pride at City Hall activities.

According to Task Force member Pam Gerber, who donated the flag to the city, if the flag isn’t located, it is similar to every other Pride flag manufactured, it’s replaceable and no one should panic by its disappearance. But it would be nice to find it.
