In his weekly video update on the state legislative session, Equality Texas field organizer Daniel Williams notes that Gov. Rick Perry said during his State of the State Address on Tuesday, “Each Texan deserves to inherit a state of equality and opportunity.”
“We couldn’t agree more, governor,” Williams says. “So we hope to look forward to the governor’s support of House Bill 238 and Senate Bill 237, which would prohibit employment discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity or expression.”
