To look at him, Glenn Stewart is a redneck country boy: lumbersexual beard, ball cap, ripped denim and tats. Hear him, and he sounds the same — he in fact lives in Nashville. But looks can be deceiving: Stewart is a Massachusetts native who only ended up on Music City two years ago. And he’s an out-and-proud member of the LGBT community. And an inveterate RuPaul fanboy.
Such a fanboy, in fact, that he decided to record a cover of a RuPaul song and put assorted Drag Racers — among them current contestant Jaidynn Dior Fierce, JuJuBee and Joslyn Fox — in his video of the song, which he tweaked (or is it twerked?) to give it a C&W tinge. It’s certainly not your standard Nashville fare … except it kind of is.
And you can watch Drag Race tonight on Logo.
