Chick-fil-A is opening on Cedar Springs Road at Mockingbird across from Love Field on July 25.
The restaurant is celebrating its grand opening by giving a free meal once a week for a year to 100 people who show up between 5:30 and 6 a.m. on July 24.
The restaurant chain is known for it’s anti-LGBT donations and statements made by its owner. Among the organizations the company has made donation to are Family Research Council, a leader in opposing same-sex marriage and Exodus International, a defunct “ex-gay” organization.
Chick-fil-A Chief Operating Officer Dan Cathy said, “I think we are inviting God’s judgment on our nation when we shake our fist at Him and say, “We know better than you as to what constitutes a marriage”. I pray God’s mercy on our generation that has such a prideful, arrogant attitude to think that we have the audacity to define what marriage is about.”
When protests began, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee started Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day, however, Cathy said the company would stop donating to anti-LGBT organizations.

Everything considered, that seems “self abusive” on their part! Do they actually think that they’re going to be flooded with LGBT customers? Even if I was crazy enough to really want cardboard chicken poorly done, that would be the last place I’d go to spend my hard earned LGBT money.
Yeah well the Baptist Churches are closing . ” A pr 15, 2014 · About 800 to 1,000 Southern Baptist congregations cease to exist annually, largely due to a stagnant vision among the leadership and lack of impact within their communities, says a church planting director. ” https://www.christianpost.com/news/southern-baptist-pastors-hope.. Apparently shaking your fat Baptist fist at gay people is unacceptable. Then there is the Baptist worship of Donald Trump and the Military. Plus pressed chicken breast made form unknown parts is gross.
Pope Francis says Christians should apologize to gay people
So, is this location owned by larger corporate organization or, as it is with most CFA locations, is it a franchise and hence a small business? Because if it’s not corporate owned, you’re missing your intended target here. But I suppose that doesn’t matter to the SJW idiots who want to paint everyone with a broad brush. I noticed you couldn’t be bothered to mention that a CFA near where the Pulse Nightclub massacre happened brought out free food to the survivors and first responders who were present after our community was attacked. Of course, that wouldn’t fit with your narrative, would it, David Taffet? Also, your title of this article is disgusting : “WARNING: Chick-fil-A opening on Cedar Springs.” Why should we be warned? Do you think CFA is going to be sending employees out to attack us in the gay bars? Get the F over yourself.
Amen Dustin! My thoughts exactly!!❤️??
While CFA almost all franchised, the CFA tightly controls franchisees. Much more so than other franchises. Individual stores must follow strict rules and must sign franchise agreements that require the local store to follow corporate rules (the most prominent one is they must close on Sunday.) They used restrict restrict the ownership to a single franchise (I am not sure if that changed). So that no individual franchisee could exert influence over the corporate brand. So while a boycott of a local store does technically hurt the individual franchisee, the franchisee is more like a lessee than an actual owner.
Dang it! I missed it. Please tell me when did Chick-fil-A Chief Operating Officer Dan Cathy lose his right to free speech?
