Major Max GeronOver the weekend, police arrested two men in a stolen car at the Exxon station at Maple and Oak Lawn avenues. The two allegedly hit a woman in the head with a pistol and carjacked her in a parking lot at Parkland Hospital. Police will conduct photo lineups with seven of the Oak Lawn attack victims to see if any of them can link the arrested me to their cases. As of this morning, there is no evidence linking the men to the Oak Lawn attacks other than location of their arrest and proximity of the carjacking. The men who were attacked in Oak Lawn were hit from behind with a baseball bat and most were not robbed, except for cell phones, presumably to prevent them from calling for help.
