For the 13th year, the One in Ten Screenplay Contest is seeking a call for entries.

Here’s the deal: The founders of the contest are looking for unproduced scripts that promote “positive portrayal[s] of gays, lesbians, bisexuals, transgender and queer individuals in film.” The rules include:

• Length of between 90 and 125 pages in traditional screenplay format.

• Must be in English.

• Must contain one or more primary characters who are LGBTQ, portrayed in a positive light.

The deadline for submissions is Sept. 1, and each entry requires at $45 submission fee. First, second and third place winners are chosen, and other “honorable mentions” are revealed. Prizes awarded include cash, merchandise and, of course, exposure.

Budding Tarantinos can read all the rules, and submit online, at OneinTenScreenplayContest.com.
