Bumper sticker from a Tea Party website

At their annual convention, the NAACP passed a resolution that condemned racist behavior by Tea Party supporters.
The Tea Party responded by calling the NAACP a racist organization.
To prove just how non-racist they are, former Tea Party leader Mark Williams said the NAACP makes “more money off of race than any slave trader, ever.” He called NAACP President Ben Jealous “Tom’s Nephew.”
He “satirically” wrote:

Perhaps the most racist point of all in the tea parties is their demand that government “stop raising our taxes.” That is outrageous! How will we Colored People ever get a wide screen TV in every room if non-coloreds get to keep what they earn? Totally racist! The tea party expects coloreds to be productive members of society?

The Tea Party removed him and his affiliated organization, Tea Party Express, for these comments.
Tea Party spokesman David Webb appeared on “Face the Nation” on Sunday and called Williams’ statements “clearly offensive.”
