The debate on health care drags on but now we have the best reason to call our senators and representatives and encourage them to pass it immediately.
Rush Limbaugh said he will leave the country if the bill passes.
Limbaugh said he thought he might go to Costa Rica if we have health care reform in this country. Costa Rica, however, has universal health care.
Also, as DART decides whether or not it should be interfering in the personal life of its employees, Cuba has decided to include sex change operations in its universal health coverage. DART stopped a sex-marker change for an employee in court.
According to the New York Times, “Canada, Britain, France and Brazil offer government-financed sex changes, among other countries. San Francisco began paying for sex changes for city and county employees in 2001, and Fort Worth, Texas, is considered following suit.”
Fort Worth? Really? Seriously considering paying for sex change operations while pursuing criminal charges against six people who were at Rainbow Lounge? (See update in this Friday’s Dallas Voice).
Rush leave the country? It would be a day of national celebration!
Yes, spend out country even further into debt all because you can’t handle opposition… no freedom of speech for anyone but the left.
Please don’t let him into Costa Rica. Why would he want to go there anyway? They have a 95% literacy rate, a 64-82% voter turnout in their elections, and most importantly they have Nationalized Medicine with great Doctors and facilities. Keep him in the US or send him to an Antartic Island with no health care.
I think Rush (who is no relation of mine, thank God) just got confused. He didn’t mean Costa Rica, he meant Somalia. That’s where they have no government health care and in fact no government at all, which should suit him fine.

Poor Rush he was really strapped to come up with a country that doesn’t have universal health care. ALL Industrialized nations do–except the US. Seriously in all the discussion about health care reform it amazes me that people don’t know that Japan and Bahrain have universal health care. The list is loooong. So yes, I think Rush should move, but will have to pick a very primitive place to live if he wants to go without universal healthcare. Since he’s quite wealthy, may I suggest he purchase his own island, just make it big enough for all the dittoheads to follow him there, please.
