The other day we told you how social conservatives have their panties in a wad about Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s shocking admission that he’s “fine” with New York’s decision to legalize same-sex marriage. Today, writing under the headline “Christianists turn on Rick Perry,” Joe.My.God. points us to what is quite possibly the harshest right-wing backlash yet over Perry’s marriage comments.
In a column posted on his right-wing news website Wednesday, WorldNetDaily Founder Joseph Farah writes that he was initially excited about a Perry bid for president. Farah said he attended Perry’s most recent inauguration in Austin, liked the governor’s idea for an upcoming day of prayer in Houston, and felt he could pose a formidable challenge to President Barack Obama in 2012.
“But you can forget all that – and all the nice things I said and wrote about Rick Perry,” Farah writes. “I’m afraid I’ve wasted my time and your time. In fact, I was just dead wrong in all of my conclusions about the governor of Texas. I no longer want him to run and no longer believe he is a viable candidate. In fact, I will do all I can to warn the American people away from him. … Evidently I was fooled by Rick Perry. I freely admit it. I feel unclean for the nice things I have said about him to date. Forgive me.”

Concerning state right vs. marriage amendment…….it isn’t having it both ways if you support state rights. The problem is our elected officials speak for us! If gay marriage is brought to the entire state population to vote on very few states, if any would pass gay marriage.
All of this will probably change in the future as the entire population is being brain washed more & more.
That just proved to me once and for all that Perry is a RINO. He will not be getting my vote.
The thing about Perry that should cause all of you to walk away from him is that he used to be a Democrat and he supported GORE! That should disqualify him forever!
What people do not know because it has been carefully covered over is that Governor Rick Perry is the one who ultimately killed the anti groping bill in the Texas House and Senate that would prevent the TSA Agents from sticking their hands down people’s pants. Then the governor attempted to make it look as if it was the lieutenant governor that killed the bill that passed unanimously in both houses.
Why would it surprise anyone that the governor would then support homosexual marriages at the same time that he is calling for a day of fasting and prayer?
To quote Mr. Fred Rogers of Mr. Rogers fame, “Can you say hypocrite? Of course you can.”

It becomes harder to determine who the real conservatives are, I’m glad we have a site like WND to sort the facts.
It appears it will be but the grace of God we find someone who can beat Obama, has a good business head and some military experience, can’t be hit by the race card, and isn’t struck dumb by the issue of Islam. Read recently that Herman Cain apologized to the Muslims for his comments relative to a Muslim in his administration – he rightly wants to avoid Sharia Law but doesn’t seem to grasp the concept that Islam is more than just a “religion”; it’s combined with Sharia Law, a military and political venue and you get “all or nothing”. As a society we’re all so woefully ignorant about this mounting threat!
Perry also approved the dream act in Texas. This allows illegals to receive in-state tuition. He also issued a declaration that all 14 year old girls must receive a vaccination against STDs, Promoted trans-Texas highway to be put under control of a foreign nation and would prohibit improvements on existing highways in the vicinity.

It’s the economy, STUPID. Social conservatives need to persuade through actions and convictions, not through the hammer of government. Perry is right, citizens of the individual fifty states get to make their own decisions regarding social issues such as abortion, gay marriage, welfare, death penalty, on and on. If someone disagrees with the policies in the state, move or work to change the decision of the state electorate.
This Governor Perry guy found himself in a pickle because the gays are now looked upon being a minority in the United States. In fact, the gays have been working their way up “The Minority Totem-Pole”. That is, the gays have been working diligently to over-take the blacks and the hispanics and the muslims on the official “Minority Totem-Pole” of the United States. At the very least, the gays have surely been getting closer and closer to the very top of the official Minority Totem-Pole. If illegal immigrants (and yes, they are ILLEGAL to begin with), can even be on the official Minority Totem Pole in the first place, then, it surely goes without saying the gays could someday possibly rule the entire official Minority Totem-Pole of the United States.
Perry was referring to states rights in his comment. The federal government should not rule every state. Perry said if people in New York want to have gays marry, that is there business. I agree. I don’t believe in gay marriage, no more than I believe marriage outside your own race. I don’t care what they do in New York, but I bet we don’t do it Louisiana.

Perry just lost my vote, that leaves just 2 worthwhile candidates who are honest and conservative, namely Sarah Palin and Herman Cain. I don’t trust the rest of the bunch at all!!

Ron, I don’t know where you get your facts from but concerning TSA agents not being able to, so call, grope you because a bill in Texas was killed by Perry from preventing that is nothing short of stupid. TSA personel are federal employees and Texas cannot prevent them from doing anything the federal government wants them to do, and that includes patdowns, which you would probably call groping. Federal Law always supercedes state and local law and always will. And no I am not nor have I ever been a TSA agent and I am not especially fond of them, but they have a job to do. As for you bible thumping goons out there who are against gay marriage, don’t forget to put on your halos when you walk out the door.
Maybe if joseph farah took a shower once a month he wouldn’t feel so unclean, he looks nasty to me.
