OK, let’s try this. Every morning, I’m going to post three items of local LGBT interest here on Instant Tea. You see, we realize here at the brewery that sometimes this blog gets a little stagnant, primarily because many of us have more pressing things to worry about. But I figured the least we could do is to give our loyal readers something they can count on every day. So here goes:
1. The morning after attending Black Tie, openly gay Bishop V. Gene Robinson dropped in over at St. Thomas The Apostle Episcopal Church, the local gay parish, according to The Dallas Morning News’ David Flick, a member of St. Thomas. You can read about it here.
2. This story from The SMU Daily Campus about Youth First Texas, the local nonprofit serving LGBT youth, gives new meaning to the term “puff piece.” But hey, I guess it’s good that the student paper at one of the nation’s most homophobic schools is willing to publish LGBT-related content.
3. There is speculation this morning that New York Gov. David Patterson will appoint an openly gay person to replace Hillary Clinton in the Senate, namely New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn or State Assemblyman Daniel O’Donnell. There has never been an openly gay U.S. senator. Clinton is expected to step down to become President-elect Barack Obama’s secretary of state.vzlom-paroljaпродвижение сайтов раскрутка москва
