Annise Parker set a personal fundraising record on Wednesday. The Houston mayoral runoff candidate raised $79,170 online from 272 donors. They were responding to a single email sent earlier that day.
People who donated for the Nov. 3 race may donate to the runoff. Campaign finance law treats each race separately.
On Dec. 12, she faces Gene Locke.
