Just a few days after he appeared on Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List getting arrested in front of the White House (filmed, of course, months ago), Dan Choi, the Arabic speaking Army lieutenant who publicly outed himself on The Rachel Maddow Show last year in protest of “don’t ask, don’t tell,” has been formally dismissed from the military. Proceedings began against Choi soon after he came out, but dragged on. Choi had said he hoped to survive the repeal of DADT; the Obama Administration has pledged to repeal it by the end of the year.
