J Anthony, owner and founder of Glam Haus Collective, says he has always embraced diversity, pointing to his days a member of the management team for MAC Cosmetics as an example. “Makeup,” Anthony told a client back then, “isn’t just for women. Makeup is for everyone. Makeup is genderless!

“If you want to rock a bold lipstick or a bright eye shadow, let’s do it!”

Turn the clock forward to 2023 and Glam Haus Collective has an entire team of hair and makeup artists who share Anthony’s passion for both beauty AND inclusivity. And as Pride Month approached, that team decided it was to time to “united the members of the community in the most exciting way we could — with a photo shoot!”

The LGBTQIA+ Photo Shoot was born from the hope that “people will see everyone’s individuality,” Anthony said. “We come in different colors, shapes and sizes. Ultimately, we should show compassion and love to each other. We are all human.”

The GHC LGBTQIAA+ Photo Shoot team included creative director and lead makeup artist Joshua Martinez (@janthonymua, @glamhauscollective); assistant creative director and lead hair stylist Alex Gonzalez (@alexgonzalezhair); Photographer and videographer Zach Wilson (@zwstudios); assistant makeup artist Ian Roley (@skinbyian); assistant hair stylist Jordan Crenshaw and models Iris Hopkins, Jacob Hopkins, Ianm Roley, Alexandra Bryant, Robert Arruejo, Mackenzie Gonzales, Patrice Michelle and Chandler Palladino.
