Davis.KimRowan County, Ky., County Clerk Kim Davis will testify that it is “factually impossible” for her to comply with the U.S. Supreme Court marriage equality order.
For that defense to work, Davis must show that she is physically unable to comply with the law. She will be claiming she is unable to sign marriage licenses, swearing under oath that she is unable to do a core duty of her job.
We’ll follow as closely as we can, but no electronics are allowed in the courtroom.
The hearing set for 11 a.m. Eastern Time (10 a.m. Central) today. Should be fun.
