I’ve received some delicious tidbits of random news today. I figure if they are all coming my way at once, the universe is telling me to share them with you readers (hey wait, I’ve been here about five months now and I don’t know what Instant Tea readers are called).
Mike Fisher at Dallas Basketball mentioned in Mavs Friday Morning Donuts that former Pistons player, Isiah Thomas isn’t all that happy with Magic Johnson’s new book he co-wrote with Larry Bird. He linked to Ian Thomsen’s piece from Sports Illustrated. In it, Thomsen wrote, “Magic’s most shocking accusation, however, is that Thomas was responsible for spreading rumors that Johnson was gay or bisexual after Johnson tested positive for HIV, forcing his retirement at age 32. ‘Isiah kept questioning people about it,’ Magic says. ‘I couldn’t believe that. The one guy I thought I could count on had all these doubts. It was like he kicked me in the stomach.'” It gets juicier as you continue to read the article.
The Times of India posted this headline: Houston married to kill lesbian rumours: Brown. That would be Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown. Brown has his own tell-all coming out which mentions Houston got married and had a child just for her image’s sake because it was rumored Houston was having a relationship with assistant Robin Crawford. Brown plays the victim part well in his book. “I believe her agenda was to clean up her image, while mine was to be loved and have children,” Brown wrote.
Could our Web site change to DallasVoice.gay? The New York Times reported today that two agencies are working toward “.gay” as an Internet suffix a la “.com” and “.org.” Proving they have too much time on their hands, New York based Dot Gay Alliance and dotGay out of Berlin (and interestingly headed up by a straight man) both begin the application process by heading to the Internet Corporation for Assigned Name and Numbers meeting in Seoul, Korea on Monday. Jealous much?
Like I said, delicious.
I cannot believe Bobby Brown would start such a forest fire like this on the mother of his own daughter. This is so trashy! So he not only hurts Whitney but he hurts his own daughter Bobbi Chris with this mess. That is not responsible parenting. And to think he wanted to sue Whitney for custody and support. Now that he is behind this nasty rumor, no judge in his or her right mind would find his judgment suitable for raising a teenage daughter. Why couldn’t he leave well enough alone and let Whitney do her thing as a single woman. He is going to go down for this!
YOU DON’T? C’MON! TEA BAGGERS!
