Dew dropped some props at Hunky’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers in Oak Cliff today, recognizing the restaurant for its water conservation efforts. Rick Barton, owner of Hunky’s, accepted the props — framed certificates of recognition from Dallas Water Utilities’ Noel Nielson and Dew, official mascot for DWU’s water conservation efforts.
Dew, a human-sized drop of water, leads the “Dew Drops Props” campaign, a voluntary initiative encouraging restaurants to only serve water on request. Water on request eliminates unconsumed glasses of water and saves the liquid required to clean the unused glasses.
