Last month, we wrote about Weslo’s Home-O-Erotic Cookbook, a locally-produced collection of sexy men in sexy kitchens preparing chef-driven meals you can make at home. The book has sold well locally, but the producer, Wesley Smoot, wants to expand his market and produce more books in the future. To get the book in front of industry trade shows and decision-makers, he’s gonna need some cash … and that’s where you can help.
Weslo’s has started an IndieGoGo campaign to raise as much as $30,000 for expansion of the books, which features many gay models from Dallas and across Texas. As with most crowd-funding campaigns, pledges come with premiums, such as autographed copies of the book, a poster, even an embroidered chef’s apron. And IndieGoGo (unlike Kickstarter) doesn’t require the company to raise every penny to get its money, so your pledge helps no matter what. (Contributions as little as $5 count.)
