Dear Board Members, active LULAC 4871 Members and Supporters:
I need to know who will be able to help me out this Saturday.
Cena En El Barrio will take place Saturday, Dec. 12, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Conrad High School, located at 7502 Fair Oaks Ave., Dallas, TX 75231. This is A GREAT opportunity for fellowship with other LULAC members (youth from high school, young adults from college, and adults councils from across the metroplex). I promise, you will have fun putting meal boxes together to feed needy families.
What we need:
• One volunteer to help me coordinate councils checking in (need to be there at 7 a.m. and can leave by 10 a.m./must be bilingual): You will have a list and let folks know who is next to take their meal boxes.
• Two volunteers (with cars each) to help me coordinate the delivery of 50 meals going to Holy Trinity Catholic Church (immigrant families). Have a good size vehicle to deliver to Holy Trinity Catholic Church at 3811 Oak Lawn Avenue, Dallas, TX 75219. Be at Conrad H.S. as early at 9 a.m. Possible delivery at 10:30 a.m. Take a camera to take a picture of the delivery (you posing with the center manager so we can put on our webpage).
• Two volunteers (with cars each) to help me coordinate the delivery of 50 meals going to Resource Center Dallas Nutrition Center (Food Pantry). Have a good size vehicle to deliver to Resource Center Dallas Nutrition Center/Food Pantry at 5450 Denton Drive Cutoff, Dallas, TX 75235. Be at Conrad H.S. as early as 9 a.m. Possible delivery at 10:30 a.m. Take a camera to take a picture of the delivery (you posing with the center manager so we can put on our webpage).
• Two volunteers (with cars each) to help me coordinate the deliver of 50 meal boxes going to AIDS Interfaith Network (soup kitchen). Have a good size vehicle to deliver to AIDS Interfaith Network, located at 501 N. Stemmons, Suite 200, Dallas, TX 75207. Be at Conrad H.S. as early as 9 a.m. Possible delivery at 10:30 a.m. Take a camera to take a picture of the delivery (you posing with the center manager so we can put on our webpage).
• Five volunteers to help me assemble boxes from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
• Five volunteers to help me assemble boxes from 11 a.m to 3 p.m.
• Five volunteers to help me clean up at 3 p.m.
