Fundraiser for lesbian state House candidate

We know that Texas will have at least one openly gay member next session because Mary Gonzalez of El Paso is running unopposed. But Ann Johnson from Houston could join her.

Johnson, who has a Republican opponent in the fall, will be in Dallas tonight raising money for her campaign.Stonewall Democrats of Dallas is sponsoring the event at Stoneleigh P at 6:30 p.m.

If elected she’ll represent District 134, which includes the Montrose area.
