… missing Kennedy Davenport! Yes, the stalwart pageant queen, a local favorite since the first week (I profiled her here) was booted off following the final challenge Monday night, leaving fellow plus-size veteran Ginger Minj my frontrunner over the glassy, bland youngsters Violet and Pearl. If Ginger wins, she will be the first full-figured drag superstar crowned, following the parade of glamourpusses (Tyra Sanchez, Raja), shock draggers (Sharon Needles), quirky queens (Jinxxx), performance artists (Chad Michaels) and comedy queens (Bianca del Rio). This probably comes as a blow to local playwright Jonathon Norton, who in this week’s issue predicted a victory for Kennedy.
The finale will air on June 1.
