Actor Jussie Smollett, who says “there is no closet I have ever been in,” chose to tell Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show that he is, officially, a gay American. He explained he did not choose to discuss his personal life, but “in no way is it to deny who god made me.” “I’m proud of you,” Ellen said.
