Hankins

Charlie Hankins, a former player for the Dallas Diablos rugby team and a popular personality locally, died Saturday night following a bout with cancer. He was 30.
Hankins moved to Dallas in 2009, before moving back to Houston in June 2013. He worked as a child psychologist, and was a member of the Diablos for several seasons. He was also a volunteer with Honey Pot, the bear-themed parties and fundraiser launched by Charlie McDonald.
“He was heavily involved with Honey Pot in 2012,” McDonald said. “He was so positive and inspiring.” “He was one hell of a gentleman,” wrote fellow Diablo James Britt on his Facebook page.
