Creating Change: Saying goodbye

Thanks to American Airlines, I got to say goodbye … to everyone.
Yes, that picture at my gate is correct. My 8:30 a.m. flight from Denver arrived in Dallas at 8:45 p.m.
Why was I on that 8:30 a.m. flight? Because my 6:30 a.m. flight was canceled. And AA called at 1 a.m. to tell me I was rebooked. And at 2 a.m. to tell me my new flight was delayed. And at 3 a.m. and at 4 a.m.
David Mack Henderson, president of Fairness Fort Worth, was booked on an oversold 4 p.m. flight and bumped to my flight that eventually left at 6 p.m. He got a $500 voucher.
I got nothing. Bupkis. Nada. Rien. Not a thing. #AmericanAirlines. You could at least refund my $25 fee for checking a bag. My bag flew ahead of me and I had to track it down once I got to the airport.
