Congressman Pete Sessions, a Republican from Dallas, spoke strongly against repealing “don’t ask don’t tell” moments ago on the House floor.
“I think it’s a slap in the face to the members of the military to be driven down a road that is driven by a political agenda from the left in this country rather than a wise policy,” Sessions said, his voice rising.
Earlier, Houston Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee spoke in favor of repealing DADT.
“It is giving everyone a chance to be an American,” she said. “I believe it is an important step.”
The debate is continuing on the House floor, with a vote on the amendment expected later today. Watch live by going here.реклама билбордпродвижение и раскрутка сайта в киеве
