I have been missing me some L Word action and this might be the closest I get to it. Leisha Hailey comes to town but not as the lovably quirky Alice Pieszecki from the show. She’s one half of the pop duo Uh Huh Her and they’re headed this way.
According to their Twitter feed, they’ve finished their second album and about to drop it on all of us. I hope it sounds as good as their 2008 release Common Reaction because that was surprisingly impressive and a constant go-to for some upbeat beats. Seriously, I played out the song below — although I never quite got the video. They have a free song preview on their site for Twitter fans to retweet. It’s a little downtempo, but has their signature slick sound.
Uh Huh Her stops at the House of Blues’ Cambridge Room on March 20 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at door.
