Bill and Hillary Clinton appeared together in Irving at an event they said was the first of its kind. They spoke together, onstage, with a moderator asking questions on Friday, Nov. 17.
My general impression of them as a couple is that they seem closer now than they’ve ever been. When Hillary lost the election, Bill was there for her in a meaningful way.
In the new 4,000-seat Pavillion at the Toyota Music Factory next to the Irving Convention Center, the Clintons answered questions posed by the COO of Live Nation Dallas, but it felt like they were in their living room chatting. And the sold-out audience loved it.
And while Bill answered a question about his legacy, Hillary couldn’t because she’s not finished with her work. No, she’s not planning to run for office again, but she’s too busy encouraging other women to run for office to think about legacy.
I was one of just five photographers allowed up to the stage — for five minutes — to photograph the couple, and then I stayed for the hour and a half chat. Watch for more about their appearance in Friday’s Dallas Voice.
