Chefs gather for disaster relief dinner Thursday

The nonprofit RETREET was founded in 2012 to help recovery from natural disasters by replanting trees at homes affected by tragedy. The Rowlett tornado took its toll on neighborhood, and so eight chefs — among the Ben Starr of Frank, whom we’ve written about here,and Troy Gardner of the upcoming V-Eats, whom we’ve written about here — are joining together Thursday evening for a seven-course feast, all featuring ingredients from trees.
