Begorrah! It’s the Irish Festival!
It’s not St. Patrick’s Day yet, but that’s no reason you can’t start drinking green beer early. The 31st North Texas Irish Festival gets underway Friday and provides weekend celebration of all things from the Emerald Isle, with music, dancing, storytelling and food (you can never get too much shepherd’s pie), as well as a history of the contributions the Irish made to the U.S. And with beer and whiskey tastings, you can experience some of the other contributions the Irish have made to the world. (And, as you can see, it’s pet-friendly.)

DEETS:
Fair Park grounds.
March 1–3.
Admission ranges from free on Friday (6–7 p.m.) to $30 for a weekend pass.
