Supporters of Bernie Sanders will meet and march across the Continental Avenue Pedestrian Bridge at noon on Saturday, Feb. 27 to get out the vote for the March 1 primary and promote awareness of the candidate.
The local effort will be held in conjunction with similar marches in at least 50 cities across the country.
Sanders came in second in last week’s Nevada caucus and in the Iowa caucus, but won the New Hampshire primary.
Saturday, the South Carolina Democratic primary will be held. On Tuesday, March 1, also known as Super Tuesday, primaries will be held in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont and Virginia. Colorado and Minnesota holds caucuses that day. Alaska and Wyoming hold Republican caucuses that day.
Texas has the most delegates at stake for either party. This is the first time in decades the Texas primary vote could make any difference in the outcome.
