Ben E. Keith, the alcohol distributor that has been a huge supporter of the gay community for years, is sponsoring a benefit for the victims of ALS, popularly known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease (Gehrig, pictured).
A serious neurodegenerative disease (Stephen Hawking suffers from a similar but different disease), ALS is currently incurable, which makes the need for more money to research all the more pressing.
The event, Calling All Heroes, will feature passed appetizers and and open bar, as well as silent and live auctions, dancing and a DJ. It takes place at eM — The Venue at 1500 Dragon St. in the Design District — from 7 to 11 p.m. this Friday. Tickets cost $125/person and attire is “summer chic.”

Actually, the truth is that there are ways available for people experiencing als to solve the problem and heal. Just they are not widely known.
Als happens when factors and patterns in a person’s life come together in a certain way. What this means is that by changing what is going on with those factors and patterns, one can solve the problem and heal.
To further understand how als is created and how it can be solved, see my work, along with the work of Craig Oster, Gabor Mate, Steven Shackel, Evy McDonald, David Atkinson, Dean Ornish and Gary Null, among others.
