SOS logoSOS: Survivors Offering Support, a new group formed by victims of violent crimes to support each other, will meet Tuesday, Dec. 8, at 7 p.m. at Resource Center, 2701 Reagan St.
“We’re sitting and sharing experiences and healing through supporting each other,” Michael Dominguez wrote on Facebook. Dominguez was attacked in Oak Lawn in October.
The group is for survivors of violence only.
The meeting is open to all survivors of violent assaults, domestic violence or attacks. Although the group appreciates that others are concerned about the well-being especially of recent attack victims, this meeting is a safe space for people recovering from or who have experienced violent attacks. Counseling will be provided by SMU counseling department that works closely with Resource Center. For more information, contact the group here.
