Now, this may mean little to you. There’s nothing especially gay about him, although he did voice the role of Top Cat in the cartoon and Catfish on The Pink Panther Show; he’s probably best known for The Man with the Golden Arm … and his distinctive voice.
So why do I mention this? Because when you grow up with a name like Arnold, you tend to know EVERY famous Arnold there is, real and fictional: Arnold from Diff’rent Strokes. Arnold Ziffel (the pig!) from Green Acres. Arnold Palmer. Arnie Becker. Ernie from Sesame Street (not even CLOSE to my name, but try explaining that to a classroom of ignorant kindergarteners). Benedict Arnold. And Arnold Stang.
Finally, I got Arnold Schwarzenegger as a namesake, but it took a while.
