KNIGHT-FLAKE ANNIVERSARY | Bud Knight and Chet Flake are celebrating their 45th anniversary as a couple this month and in September will celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary. The two were introduced by a mutual friend in Dallas in 1965, and were legally married by the dean of the Anglican Cathedral in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, in September, 2005. Knight is retired from a career in retail and has served on the board of Bryan’s House. Flake is a retired educator. Both men are longtime volunteers with Resource Center Dallas and are honorary life members of the Turtle Creek Chorale.
