Dylan Lewis of For Your Consideration out of Australia talked with Adam Lambert in this video below about all things music. In it, Lambert reveals a possible November/December release for an acoustic album which would put it head-to-head with Justin Bieber’s recent announcement. I wonder who would rein supreme acoustically as pop music’s current king.
Lambert also discusses his desire to work with Christina Aguilera and plans for his sophomore release sometime next spring or summer. Actually, he’s just theorizing it at this point. Clearly this acoustic thing is just a “project” and not his second album. He says this acoustic album will contain stripped-back renditions of previously released songs.
Well I think we know who would reign acoustically, Adam lambert who can actually sing without autotoned or produced magic! I am so looking forward to hearing this acoustic cd from arguably the best vocalist in the World, Adam Lambert! Dont much care how many kiddies out sell him, we all know what will be the real deal and the most pleasurable to listen to! Yayyyy, cant wait!!!! Adam’s voice is like magic!
Compete with Justin Bieber? Odd thing to write. Two different styles and according to an interview Adam Lambert’s CD is being release because of a petition started by his fans asking for an acoustic CD as well as a video of his recent tour. The CD will be geared toward his fans not to go head to head with anyone. The acoustic version is from his earlier in the year promo tour of Europe and the video will be from his tour. Adam’s CD will be live version versus Biebers studio
Since Beiber can’t actually sing it would seem going acoustic would be deadly for him.
Adam has a heavenly voice. I don’t think he is trying to go head to head with anyone. He is unique and wonderful in himself. Love you Adam!!!
Adam is releasing this cd to shut me up.lol It has nothing to do with any one elses cd.Many different and same kinds of cd’s come out every day. But I guess it is fun for the media to write articles like this.

yes, there is no comparison between biebers acoustic version and the magical voice ADAM. But the great USA will only target in on beibers cd no doubt. You watch, we will hear all about bieber. there is no comparison when it comes to vocals especially stripped down and raw. Can’t honestly say I have heard Justin Biebier sing anything, but that Baby, baby song, so cannot judge what he is capable of. To say Adam is competing with him must be some kind of joke. Last time I noticed Adam competed only with himself to get better and better, and boy has that paid off. Can’t wait, buy anything,evertyhing he puts out.

I don’t see why the article sets up a competition? They are both nice guys and each has his following. That said, the real talent is what will have legs. Whether Kris Allen after the AI finale or Su Bo after seemingly crushing others released on her album debut date, from whom does the world still want to hear more a year later? The one comment that has always stuck with me about Adam was from Paula Abdul who said ” I know with every fibre of my being, YOU WILL BE ICONIC.” His fans, me being one, know that when it comes to Adam, it is almost indescribable what he has done to our lives and why we love him sooo much. I love nothing more than watching people discover Adam for the first time and just knowing they are in for a long, facinating and beatiful ride!!!!

I will buy Adam’s cd anytime. I don’t have patience listening to other artists unless it is a Josh Groban. but I love Adam Lambert & I enjoy watching him again & again. I hope he produce more music so that he will be known & later remembered for his incredible voice. Put all petty issues behind him. we want to watch Adam for a long long time.

I look forward to Adam’s acoutic album. It is rediculous to compare him to Justin Bieber or anyone like him. We know emotionally bandrupt America will buy crap music, but there are still enough of us that will buy good music and support true talent like Lambert. Adam is different and many people cannot look past his over-the-top persona. I think he’s special.

WTF Course thats whats wrong with Top 40 music today, and a lot of us listeners are sick of it. Same no talent auto-tune crap on constant rotation., to be heard over and over and over again every day. JB may sell more FOR NOW , but please listen to Adam’s acoustic recordings. How anyone who wants to be taken seriously can be mentioning Adam Lambert and Justin Beiver in the same sentence is beyond me. I’ve only just discovered Mr Lambert in the last week or so (yes I’m a bit slow to catch up!) but his acoustic album is straight to the top of my must have list, along with the rest of his awesome recordings.

I can’t wait for ADAM’s acoustic album. December seems so far away. I saw ADAM’s acoustic series on VH1 and his VOICE is so PURE & CRISP & ADAM changes his rendition of each song from the album when he does it acoustically … he is a true ARTISTE. I hope ADAM includes A Loaded Smile on this EP … it’s one of my faves from FYE. BTW … how does one sing Baby Baby Baby acoustically? Sorry Justin is a sweet boy but there is no comparison nor should there be.
Adam would be the last person on earth to look at music as a competition. His cheery attitude was recently displayed on Australia’s X-Factor when he said something to the effect that he gets on stage, does his thing, and you either like it or you don’t.
Well, I LOVE IT. The man can sing like no one else in music today. It would be such a trip to hear 10 of today’s pop stars sing acoustically, one being Adam, and let the world see what a vocal superstar he really is.

As a practical matter, the two singers appeal to different demographic groups. Justin Bieber’s sole audience is pre-teen to early-teen girls. Adam Lambert appeals to a more diverse and mature audience. Justin Bieber fans buy his music because they think he looks cute. Adam Lambert fans buy his music, because they appreciate his spectacular voice.
How many Teen Idols have gone on to have adult music careers? Not many. By the time that Justin Bieber reaches Adam Lambert’s age, it will be Justin Who?
