A group of transgender activists and allies will get together today (Feb. 8) on the University of Dallas campus in Irving to respond to an appearance by writer Ryan Anderson, who will discuss his anti-trans book, When Harry Became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Movement.
Protest organizer Johnny Boucher, a University of Dallas alum, called the gathering “a small, peaceful and dissenting presence.”
Boucher said Anderson’s book. “alleges gender dysphoria has roots in ‘social hostility.’ Anderson argues allowing gender transition ‘tramples on the needs and interests of others.’ Furthermore, Anderson believes gender medicine is experimental, ‘a cultish religion forced on the public by the state.’”
Anderson’s previous book, Truth Overruled: The Future of Marriage and Religious Freedom, opposes same-sex marriage.
Boucher said to meet at the SB Hall MultipurposeRoom, University of Dallas, 1845 E Northgate Drive in Irving. He expects the event to run from 4:30-6 p.m. The Orange Line stops at U.D. To find the location, here’s a map of the campus.

I, a UD ALUMNI, Math and Computer Science major from 1982 walked out in DISGUST, NOT EMBARRASSMENT and there were more than FOUR of us there, have a problem with fact, like Ryan Anderson ?? As with the majority of UD students, alumni and professors, we would NEVER believe the BS Lies and Propaganda of Ryan Anderson, The Heritage Foundation or the Republican Politicians and Party.. Truth and reality and academics including Math and Science go well beyond the BS of these morons who spout off garble as FACT when in reality is most certainly ISN’T . University of Dallas constantly promotes that it is a ‘Free Thinking’ University, and it certainly doesn’t mean, ‘think freely after you’ve been indoctrinated by Republican, Heritage Foundation Propaganda and LIES.. the President and Board of Trustees will be receiving a Letter stating how academically and spiritually irresponsible it is to entertain Ryan Anderson and the Heritage Foundation, Anderson also has articles which clearly show he favors Donald Trump, the WORST TRAVESTY that has EVER happened in our country and he will surely get ‘dethroned’ no matter what unconstitutional tactics he attempts !
