Two gay elected officials will be among those sworn in at a bipartisan ceremony and brunch on Monday, Jan. 1 for all newly elected officials in Dallas County.
Jim Foster will be sworn in as county judge and Gary Fitzsimmons will be sworn in as district clerk.
The Dallas County Democratic Party is hosting the swearing-in ceremony. It will be held at the Adam’s Mark Hotel. The brunch begins at 10 a.m. and the swearing-in ceremony will take place at 11:30 a.m.
