J.W. Lown, the 32-year-old mayor of the West Texas town of San Angelo, is apparently in a relationship with a Mexican man who doesn’t have legal status in the U.S. Lown (shown above) resigned Wednesday, a day after he was scheduled to be sworn in for his fourth term. Lown said he didn’t want to take the oath of office knowing he was “aiding and assisting” someone who isn’t a U.S. citizen. Lown reportedly is in Mexico trying to help his partner get a visa. Lown met his partner, whom he didn’t identify, earlier this year while the man was attending Angelo State University. Read more by going here.продвижение сайта поисковых системах google

  1. At first I was think SCANDAL IN WEST TEXAS!!! Then I read the whole article and this really sad. If same-sex marriage was legal in this state then Lown would probably still be in office and in TX. Our loss is Mexico’s gain, for now.

  2. She’s no Gavin Newsom, but she’ll do for last call on a Tuesday Night at Zippers…

  3. Mr. Lown is to be commended once again. It’s good to see that honest people can be politicians. He seems to have a very good head on his shoulders. Kudos, to the citizens of San Angelo for re-electing him. Also, best wishes to “Mr. Mayor” and his partner for their quick return to your city in Texas. No one must be straight to be a straight shooter for his community.

  4. If San Angelo voters had known he was GAY in the first place, does anyone really believe Lown would have been elected the first go around ? This is a very interesting West Texas Drama playing out !

  5. I think there’s more to this story than we know. Looks like the former mayor might be trying to take away attention from something else that might be coming forward. And calling someone a partner after less than 2 months is nonsense!

  6. LOL. Onlooker, are you even gay? I have friends who call themselves partners after being together 2 weeks!

  7. ARE YOU SERIOUS!! WHO cares if he is gay! What the hell does that have to do with anything at all. Please. Get your heads out of your a$$ and look at the person within and the representative. If he sucks at his position then vote him out. If he ROCKS at his position the vote him in. It absolutely has nothing to do with whether he is GAY or not!

  8. I agree… Who gives a rat’s butt who the guy sleeps with or what he does with what’s between his legs..
However, If I find out that he’s voting on Anti-Gay stuff and sucking c..o..c..k.. at the same time then you can bet I’m gonna go way far outta my way to make it known what a liar he is to the rest of the world. I’m tired of this sneaky closeted crap used by these queer politicians who vote against my rights to constitutional freedom just so their own family members never find out they’re queer.. Most of these buttholes don’t even know what the concept of LOVE is since they’re more concerned about getting their “plumbing” serviced…

  9. I’m from San Angelo, and believe me when i tell you that a great deal of the community was aware of his orientation, but treated it on a “don’t ask, don’t tell” basis. The shocker for us was the partner with illegal status. Still, the general consensus supports Mayor Lown.

  10. Hey Y’all -believe it or not, San Angelo has a fairly active gay and lesbian community and everyone in town knows JW is gay. Gasp! Shock! Sorry that doesn’t fit with your stereotype of West Texans. Free your mind.

  11. AWWWW, How romantic. Leaving a position for love? Just like Edward VIII left the throne for Wallis Simpson. They should make a movie about this.
