This week is our Food Issue, which stories about beer, organic dining, foodie festivals and State Fair fare. But what if you prefer your food on the suffering-free side. WalletHub has prepared a study marking the best vegetarian and vegan-friendly cities in the U.S. Care to guess how Dallas fared…? No, we are not No. 1 — that position is held by New York City (which, for size alone, makes sense). It is followed (Nos. 2–10) by Portland, Ore; Orlando, Fla.; San Francisco; L.A.; Seattle; Washington, D.C.; Scottsdale, Ariz.; Miami; and San Diego.  Two Texas cities did make the top 20 though: Austin (No. 13) and Houston (No. 17).
