Looks like we’re not done with sex at the Kay

The Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center may still be the site of a porn expo.
No, not eXXXotica — and, by the way, they don’t like being called a porn expo. They describe themselves as “The Largest Event in the USA dedicated to love & sex.”
That is until the Dallas City Council got involved and passed an ordinance this week that said there will be no more sex in this city, or something like that.
While eXXXotica is threatening a lawsuit, Adultcon is applying to stage an “Adult Entertainment Convention” at the Kay. Their website, which I opened purely for research purposes, features mostly female porn stars. Adultcon was founded in 2001 and has produced 30 expos. (See? I researched their historical information.)
The city of Dallas’ position on Adultcon is, “We are officially evaluating the request.”
The city’s unofficial position is: “We already looked like idiots banning eXXXotica from city property and opened ourselves to a major lawsuit. We can either play favorites, allow Adultcon and hand eXXXotica an even bigger lawsuit, or we can ban Adultcon and lose two lawsuits.”
Hmmm. What to do? What to do?
