California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger was quick to realize the potential economic benefits to the state after the California Supreme Court issued its ruling legalizing same-sex marriage. Now the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau is taking advantage of the ruling to boost tourists’ interest in its city with the “Here Comes the Pride” wedding giveaway contest.
The CVB explains: “We’re celebrating the new laws allowing same-sex weddings in California by giving away a dream vacation for two to get married in San Diego! Enter for your chance to win the trip of a lifetime.”
The “dream vacation” includes airfare for two, five nights at the Hotel Solamar, dinner at a different restaurant each night, theater tickets and more. And all you have to do is write a short essay on why you deserve to win.
