Nana’s special Valentine’s weekend dinner menu (including a glass of bubbly) goes for $85 per person Feb. 14-16, starting at 6 p.m. But it’s not the only place where same-sex couples can enjoy a romantic twofer. Consider one of these top restaurants:

Chef Stephan Pyles will create a special multi-course dinner for Feb. 14 at his eponymous downtown eatery. Select from his inventive South American-inspired dishes, all for $75 per person. 214-580-7000.

Blaine Staniford, Dallas’ hottest young chef, has two downtown restaurants himself, each with Valentine’s Day specials. At Fuse, the three-course dinner features his signature mix of Texas and Asian influences. It costs $60, or $80 with wine pairings. 214-742-3873. His newest hotspot, Scene (inside the smoking Mosaic condos) debuts its Valentine menu at $65 (add $30 for wine pairings). 214-468-8600.

Chef Blythe Beck works her magic at Hector’s on Henderson, proprietor Hector Garcia’s “naughty” American bistro. Blythe just introduced a new winter menu, but she’s adding a five-course tasting menu for three days Feb. 14-16 for lovers. It’s just $60 each. 214-821-0432.

Nove Italiano, one of Dallas’ best new restaurants, offers a special four-course dinner on Valentine’s Week (Feb. 12-16), including options like veal & lobster or a Kobe flat-iron steak. The cost is $70 each. 214-720-9903. Next door, its sister restaurant N9NE Steakhouse offers a similar deal, starting Monday. 214-720-9901. Also in Victory Park, Victory Tavern will serve Valentine’s specials for two nights for only $37 each. 214-432-1900.

Aurora, still among the best tables Dallas has ever seen, is a luxurious place, perfect for a twosome to get romantic. Chef Avner Samuel is preparing a special a la carte menu, but seating is limited. 214-528-9400. Chef Eric Holt at the Landmark inside the Oak Lawn staple the Melrose Hotel will prepare a five-course meal for $90 each on Valentine’s Day. 214-224-3152.

SushiSamba at the Galleria assumes couples like to eat together, so the fusion restaurant offers a single price ($110) for both with a four-course “sharing menu” that includes Maine lobster, a sushi plate and scallops on Feb. 14. 214-866-0214.

In the West Village, you can choice between dinner at Cru, A Wine Bar and lunch or dinner at neighboring Ferre. The Cru menu includes a prosciutto-stuffed risotto cake and rack of lamb, for $45 each. 214-526-9463. Ferre offers three courses on Feb. 14 and 15 for $42 (dinner) or $15.95 (lunch) including some of its housemade pastas. 214-522-3888.

For different Italian, try Taverna, with its heart-shaped veal ravioli and baby lamb chop with lobster, on the menu Feb. 14. 214-520-9933. Around the Crossroads, Frida’s Mexican Cuisine offers a menu of filet mignon, crab cakes and banana bread pudding. 214-528-9911.

If you haven’t been out to the massive Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine yet, here are two good reasons: 1) Joanne Bondy (formerly of Ciudad) is the terrific executive chef at the massive Old Hickory Steakhouse; and 2) she’s prepared a special Valentine champagne dinner on Feb. 14, complete with opening reception and beef and seafood selections. It starts at 6:30 p.m. and costs $150 per person. Call 817-778-2000 for reservations.

AW Shucks (on Greenville Avenue; 214-821-9449) and Big Shucks (on Mockingbird Lane; 214-887-6353) will get your heart racing with a combo of aphrodisiac oysters, champagne and a rose for two all just $10.95.
