Who are these people?
What are these people? He says he’s a Republican because he is fiscal conservative and social liberal. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Did his ex actually wink at the camera?
I have never heard of any of them. And they certainly don’t represent the true A-;isters of Dallas. There are doctors, lawyers, CEO’s, elected officials, people who run our gay organizations, etc. This looks like a group of twinks you see annoying everyone at S4 on Saturday night. And a gay-twink-reupublican?? HONEY PLEASE! First, this is a Democratic town, and second, the republicans in this town will kick you out the door once they find out your on this show. LOGO needs to be ashamed, this does not represent Dallas.
I won’t be watching! I heard 2 of them actually live in Oklahoma! What’s the deal with that? Also, what’s the deal with that guy (Phillip, I believe) trash talking people with HIV/AIDS at a LSR event a couple months ago? Pissed off DOESN’T EVEN BEGIN to describe how I felt. I’ve never seen any of them at fundraising events, political events or any social gatherings I’ve attended in the 5 years I’ve lived in Dallas. It’s sad to think that LOGO scraped the bottom of the barrel to find these people and now they, all of a sudden, represent the Dallas GLBT community. It’s sad to think that Dallas has overcome a bad rep through the decades. This show will set our GLBT community back 20 years! I represent myself and do not need some fake “A-List” twink and self-proclaimed socialite whom no one knows to speak for me or demonstrate how a Dallasite lives. Reality, my arse! BOOOOOO to the A-List Dallas and a bigger BOOOOOOOO to LOGO for such a shameful cast and production AND shame on the cast for making us all look like shallow fools! Hey LOGO…in case you didn’t notice, everyone who is “A-List” turned down your offer, because they have class!
I won’t be watching this trash TV. These people are a VERY poor representation of the gay social circle in Dallas…no one knows them. So to call them A-list is a JOKE. Perhaps a knowledge of the gay scene in Dallas would have provided true A-Listers…you know the ones that are involved in the community and are well respected and known for that matter. These are just a bunch of wanna b social climbers that frankly aren’t worth the air time. Bad choices LOGO. This sort of bad casting may fly in New York, but in Dallas we take our community, reputation and those that represent us serious. It’s pretty clear from the “gay community” in Dallas not supporting filming in gay establishments and the public outcry to boycott the show that this cast is not welcome in the “BIG D”. Perhaps if there is a season 2 you can get it right and actually cast A-Listers….they don’t even qualify for “My Life on the D List”.
Why not call it The D-List Dallas? (And, no, by the letter D I don’t mean Dallas. Because that would just be redundant. )
It is very sad when you have one of these cast members not intelligent enough to understand about HIV/AIDS and the plight that it has had and continues to have on the GLBT community…especially since they could really have been able to make a big difference on the stigma associated with the disease.
Hey, remember me? I’m the one who was discriminated against for being HIV positive by one of your cast members. I’m still waiting on that big apology you promised our community. In the mean time you all can go to the FB page Boycott Logo’s A-List Dallas” page and read in the info section the letter that was sent to Logo…and they have still yet to respond or apologize. Thanks Logo for being a pillar in our GLBT community, you’ve really done us proud.
