Via the Texas Tribune, below is video, in three parts, from Thursday night’s debate in the Texas House on an anti-gay amendment by Rep. Wayne Christian, R-Center, aimed at eliminating LGBT resource centers at Texas universities. As we reported earlier, Christian eventually withdrew the amendment amid opposition from Democrats who threatened to derail the entire fiscal matters bill to which it was attached. Part two and three of the video are after the jump. Read Daniel Williams’ recap of the debate here.

We got better things to worry about like school, then some bs stuff.
Wayne Christian is a LIAR! The vote at TAMU was vetoes. Yes, it passed with a vote by the speaker, Hilary Albrecht, but it was vetoed. The veto was UPHELD two weeks later. The legislation never passed!
Yes, the President of the TAMU SGA vetoed the anti-glbt legislation passed by the SGA. However, the hate that is being generated across Texas by such people as Rep Christian is creating a very unsafe environment for Texans who are part of our minority group. When hate towards any minority group is being perpetuated by hate mongers then our society at large must speak up to stop this. This type of hate occurred during the Nazi rule in Germany against the Jews. The hate is the same being displayed now against the GLBT now.
