Sunday was volunteer training day for the Creating Change conference coming to Dallas this week. The conference begins Wednesday, Feb. 3, and runs through next Sunday.
Sue Hyde, executive director of Creating Change, said that more than 200 people attended training sessions on Sunday and that the conference will be well staffed.
However, additional volunteer opportunities may still exist. Anyone who would like to volunteer may still do so. Go to the registration desk on the second floor of the Sheraton Dallas Hotel during the conference and inquire about assisting there.
Registration for the conference has been running very strong and is well ahead of last year’s, but won’t break the record.
More than 2,000 people are expected at this year’s conference, but Hyde said the record stands at more than 2,700 at the 1999 conference held in the San Francisco Bay area.
Despite the Advocate leaving San Francisco out as one of the 15 gayest cities in America, you can’t beat that city in attracting the LGBT community.услуги создания сайтовреклама сайта в соц сетях
