This is a generic photo of some hail on the ground. It is NOT a photo from the DFW area after last night’s storm.

In the wake of a hail storm that caused damage last night in parts of the DFW Metroplex, North Texas GLBT Chamber of Commerce CEO and President Tony Vedda is warning the LGBT community to be on the lookout for roofing companies misrepresenting themselves as chamber members.

“Recently, we were made aware of a roofing company that has been presenting itself as a member of the North Texas GLBT Chamber of Commerce, ENE Roofing & Construction,” Vedda said in an email to members on Wednesday morning, June 6. “This business is not now, and never has been, a member of our chamber.”

Vedda continued, “Our ONLY member roofing company is NorthStar Roofing, Fencing, & Gutters. Many of you probably know Morris Garcia and Tim Phillips as stand up guys and leaders in our community. In other words, they are people you can trust.

“If you come across a business that represents itself as a member of our camber, please take a minute to check our online directory, or phone the office to verify,” Vedda said. “I guess we should be flattered that our chamber’s reputation is good enough to be hijacked by others. But it … is dishonest and wrong. Don’t be fooled by fake members.”
