A map of the locations where vandals broke windows.

We’ve reported recently that windows at Resource Center Dallas have been broken out by rock-throwing vandals, and now it appears those vandals may have moved on to other targets in Oak Lawn.

A man reported that someone broke two of his apartment’s front windows around 10 p.m. on Thursday in the 2800 block of Throckmorton Street. He yelled and ran outside but couldn’t see who was responsible.

He told police the person had taken off the screen protectors from the windows, according to a police incident report. The estimated damage was $200.

Then on Friday, a man reported that someone had shattered his rear passenger window in his Lexus parked in the 4000 block of Hall Street.

He told police nothing was missing when he returned to this vehicle at 2:13 a.m. and officers found no indication the vandal entered the vehicle. The stated cost of damage was listed as $600.

Later on Friday, a woman reported that someone had broken a window in her Jeep parked in the 3100 block of Armstrong Avenue. The damage was estimated at $200.

Someone then threw a rock through the south window at Einstein Bagels on Lemmon Avenue on Saturday, according to an incident report. The estimated damage was listed as $1,000.

Dallas police spokeswoman Sr. Cpl. Melinda Gutierrez said she was unsure if the incidents were related. She said she would check with detectives investigating the cases.
