Trump’s circle of friends apparently dwindled more yesterday when David Pecker, CEO of American Media, Inc., which owns The National Enquirer, was granted immunity by prosecutors to give information on payments made to silence women who had sex with the president.
Pecker’s testimony would corroborate Trump’s former attorney Michael Cohen’s story. Cohen pleaded guilty to eight criminal charges earlier this week.
“Fake news” is a genre that Pecker perfected. His newspaper, which used to specialize in fake alien stories, earned millions of dollar slandering the Clintons. Here are some National Enquirer headlines from the 2016 campaign:
