Evil Dead Burn
Evil Dead Burn unleashes an all-new chapter of carnage and demonic mayhem. After the loss of her husband, a woman seeks solace with her in-laws in their secluded family home because of course it’s a secluded home. As one by one they are transformed into Deadites—turning into a family reunion from hell—she comes to discover that the vows she took in life… live on even in death. Oops.
In theaters July 9.
The Odyssey
The official new trailer for Christopher Nolan’s next film has been released. This mythic action saga based on Homer uses brand new IMAX® film technology. The film stars Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson and Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya and Charlize Theron.
In theaters everywhere on July 17.
Tony
A 19-year-old Anthony Bourdain travels to Provincetown and stumbles into the chaotic world of a restaurant kitchen, setting off a summer that will shape the course of his life. The film stars Dominic Sessa, Emilia Jones, Dagmara Dominczyk, Rich Sommers, Stavros Halkias, Leo Woodall with Antonio Banderas and directed by Matt Johnson.
In theaters this August.
Sunny Dancer
17-year-old Ivy’s parents sign her up to spend her summer at what she calls “chemo camp”, where she manages to find unexpected friends and romance in a group of misfits with cancer and has a summer she’ll never forget. The film stars queer actors Bella Ramsey, Neil Patrick Harris and Emmy-winner Ruby Stokes.
In theaters Aug. 14.
Resident Evil
From the mind of filmmaker Zach Cregger (Weapons, Barbarian) comes this reinvention of the Resident Evil franchise. In an all-new story, Resident Evil follows Bryan (Austin Abrams), a medical courier who unwittingly finds himself in an action-packed, non-stop race for survival as one fateful, horrifying night collapses around him in chaos.
From Columbia Pictures and Constantin Film, in association with TriStar Pictures, the film opens in hits theatres Sept. 18.
Verity
Adapted from Colleen Hoover’s best-selling novel, this seductive, psychological thriller follows renowned author Verity Crawford (Anne Hathaway in her fourth movie this year already) and Lowen Ashleigh (Dakota Johnson), a struggling writer who relocates to the remote Crawford estate to ghostwrite for Verity. After Lowen uncovers what appears to be Verity’s chilling autobiographical notes, she wrestles with the disturbing and twisted confessions about Verity’s husband Jeremy (Josh Hartnett), and finds it hard to separate fiction from reality, manipulation from attraction, and opportunity from obsession.
