The famed Alvin Ailey Dance Theater returns to Dallas.

TITAS/DANCE UNBOUND, in partnership with the AT&T Performing Arts Center (ATTPAC), announced this week the return of the acclaimed Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater to Dallas. The performance is a special add-on for both season ticket holders and individual attendees. AAADT will perform Tuesday, March 10 at the Winspear Opera House.

“Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater is truly an American institution,” Charles Santos, Artistic and Executive Director of TITAS said in a press release. “It has been a privilege to feature Ailey in past TITAS seasons, and we felt it was the perfect time to bring them back to Dallas. Alvin Ailey was a trailblazing choreographer whose vision and artistry continue to define the company’s identity today. We are beyond excited to welcome them for this exclusive one-night-only performance, a show you must Be In The Room to experience.”

The company was founded by the gay-but-not-out Alvin Ailey in 1958 as his nod to honor and contribute to the Black diaspora.

Tickets for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater performance are now available for season subscribers and general public tickets will be available this coming week.
